Money Is Not Real

Money is not real. It is an invention of the human race. Work is real. And whether we choose to work to sustain the fossil fuel economy or work to build the green economy is entirely up to the governments and societies of the world. Any statement of the kind, “It’s going to cost too much money,” is false and typically used by those for whom it is in their best interest to maintain status quo. It’s a powerful statement and creates fear in the average person.

However, we now see, given the vast, almost incomprehensible, amounts of money involved in containing the virus, how false that statement is. World War II is the ultimate example of massive spending. Entire cities leveled to the ground, millions of people dead, millions of people displaced and yet this was the precursor to the greatest economic recovery the world has ever seen.

Money is not real. Work is real. If the human race is fully engaged in work, then our economies will be strong and healthy.

So, what would we rather do? Maintain an economy that is clearly bad for our health, bad for the environment and bad for the entire planet? Or continue to create the green economy where our air will be better to breathe, where we’ll live longer, healthy lives and… save the planet at the same time.

The answer is a no-brainer.
